Coco Chips Block

The husk bits are a significant by-product derived from coconut husks during coir fiber extraction. These bits find various applications in gardening, especially in flower beds. They are particularly favoured for orchids and anthuriums. Their primary function is efficient ground coverage, retaining moisture and preventing nutrient leaching, thereby ensuring optimal plant nutrition for healthy growth.

Being natural by-products, husk bits are fully organic and biodegradable, enriching the soil with nutrients over time and enhancing fertility. Coconut husk chips are gaining popularity as a novel growing medium, offering advantages over traditional bark mediums, which are costly and prone to fungal infections. Despite no direct evidence linking fungal infections to plant health, safety concerns have diminished bark usage. Husk chips, being cost-effective and free from fungal or microbial promotion, present a safer alternative for cultivation.
